Artist's Comments
My second World War II watercolor painting! This one features German soldiers in the Ardennes during the 1944-45 Battle of the Bulge. And, just like my last painting, I took it from a black-and-white photo I found on Wikipedia.
What is so cool about this image is that the soldiers are in motion and actually fighting -- The German soldier on the far right is shooting his weapon, something I could tell because there was smoke coming from his weapon. And I'm pretty sure that the weapons they're using are MP40s . . . I might be wrong, however.  Total completion time was probably 2 hours. Done on 5.5x8.5" paper with Crayola watercolor. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
