Artist's Comments READ THIS DISCLAIMER FIRST: [link] "Should I give Eisenhower the Nazi salute or shake his hand?"  Seriously, that line made me L-O-L. Himmler is reported to have said that IRL, or at least thought it. Anyway, this is a pencil drawing of a screenshot I took from the 2004 German film, "Downfall" (aka "Der Untergang"). I could not sleep at all tonight, and basically stayed up till dawn working on it. I get a bit too carried away sometimes . . .  Blah, I hate how you can see where I pressed REALLY HARD with the pencil and made the paper all weird! But, I didn't really have a choice. Those areas HAD to be pitch-black. Ah well, looks nice in-person at least . . .  Heinrich Himmler is played by Ulrich Noethen. Hermann Fegelein (the man Himmler is speaking to; his adjutant) is played by Thomas Kretschmann. And, yep, I went back on my promise of taking a (somewhat) lengthy break from drawing Nazi-related stuff. Oops. |

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
